- The door can be opened/closed at any time without concern of directly turning on or off any lights, digital readouts, solenoids, fans, valves, compressor, icons, tones or alarms.
- Any defrost cycle that becomes active will not be a function of the number of times or the length of time that the door is opened.
- The ice maker is disabled automatically. Ice cubes can then be made manually (using a standard ice cube tray) as needed for that Sabbath/Holiday.
- All dispenser functions are deactivated.
- In the event of a power failure, when power returns, the unit will return to this mode.
Tip to Enter the Sabbath Mode: With the unit on, press the ON/OFF switch once - the display should faintly display OFF. Then press and hold ON/OFF switch for at least ten seconds. The internal lights should initially turn on and remain on until 10 seconds has passed. At this point, the lights will turn off and the display will be blank. Release ON/OFF switch and unit should now be in Sabbath mode.
