\u05de\u05e7\u05e6\u05ea \u05d4\u05dc\u05db\u05d5\u05ea \u05d4\u05d2\u05e2\u05dc\u05ea \u05d5\u05d4\u05db\u05e9\u05e8\u05ea \u05d4\u05db\u05dc\u05d9\u05dd \u05dc\u05e4\u05e1\u05d7 \u05dc\u05e4\u05d9 \u05de\u05e0\u05d4\u05d2\u05d9 \u05e1\u05e4\u05e8\u05d3\u05d9\u05dd<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
  1. Utensils that are used during the year with chometz<\/i> are forbidden to be used during Pesach without kashering<\/i> them according to Halacha. From the time it is prohibited to eat chometz<\/i> on Erev Pesach, it is forbidden to use the utensils without kashering<\/i> them according to Halacha. The proper kashering<\/i> method used to rid a vessel of chometz<\/i> is dependent upon the original method of food preparation through which chometz<\/i> was absorbed into the vessel.1<\/a><\/span><\/li>
  2. We do not recite a bracha<\/i> when kashering<\/i> an item since it is a negative commandment not to consume the taste of non-kosher food.2<\/a><\/span><\/li>
  3. Sephardic custom is that the method of kashering<\/i> depends upon the most common usage of the vessel. Therefore, it is sufficient to pour boiling hot water from a \u05db\u05dc\u05d9 \u05e8\u05d0\u05e9\u05d5\u05df on a hot plate after cleaning it to make sure there is no chometz<\/i> on it.3<\/a><\/span><\/li>
  4. Utensils (such as cups) that were used year-round with cold chometz<\/i>, even if they are made from earthenware or nylon, can be kashered<\/i> by washing them well with cold water.4<\/a><\/span> Although the vessel may have come into contact with hot bread, as long as it was not used within the past 24 hours with hot chometz<\/i>, it can be kashered<\/i>.<\/li>
  5. Utensils made from wood, stone, bone, plastic or nylon can be kashered<\/i> like metal vessels according to the method of their usage.5<\/a><\/span><\/li>
  6. Glassware needs to be washed well inside and out with cold water. Pyrex can be kashered<\/i> in the same manner.6<\/a><\/span><\/li>
  7. A hot water urn needs to be kashered<\/i> for Pesach, even though it was most often used for water and not chometz<\/i>.7<\/a><\/span><\/li>
  8. The halachot<\/i> of kashering<\/i> are numerous and complex. Therefore, it is proper for a talmid chochom<\/i> to oversee the process.8<\/a><\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
