All other grains are not considered <em>pas. <\/em>Cooked or fried items are also NOT considered \u201cbread\u201d items<a href=\"#_ftn1\" id=\"_ftnref1\"><sup>[1]<\/sup><\/a> for <em>Pas Yisroel<\/em> purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is important to note that if a <em>Yehudi<\/em> is involved in <em>any<\/em> part of the baking process (e.g., he only turned on the fire or oven or placed the food into the oven), that is enough to render any items subsequently baked to be considered <em>Pas Yisroel. <\/em>Just preparing the dough is not enough. Additionally, if an item is par-baked and needs further baking to be fully ready to eat, the finishing process is also sufficient to give that item <em>Pas Yisroel <\/em>status<em>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A POINT OF NOTE: <em>Pas Yisroel<\/em> has <em>nothing<\/em> to do with whether an item is <em>Yoshon<\/em> or not. Just because an item may be certified as <em>Pas Yisroel <\/em>does not mean it is also <em>Yoshon<\/em><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following charts should help you distinguish between items that are subject to the <em>halachos <\/em>of <em>Pas Yisroel<\/em> and those which are not.<a id=\"_ftnref2\" href=\"#_ftn2\"><sup>[2]<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Pas Yisroel\/Bread Items<\/strong> (subject to halachos of Pas Yisroel)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td>Bagels<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Breads and Breadcrumbs<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Cakes<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Cereals<sup>3&nbsp; \u2013 <\/sup>The following are <em>Pas Palter<\/em>: <em>Cinnamon Toast Crunch | Honey Grahams | Grape Nuts | Oatmeal Squares | Golden Grahams<\/em><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Cookies<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Crackers<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Croissants<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Flat Breads<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Graham Crackers<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Hors d\u2019oeuvres \u2013 If baked.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Kichel<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Knishes<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Matzah<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Muffins<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Pancakes<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Pastries<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Pie Shells<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Pretzels \u2013 Hard and Soft.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Pizza<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Wraps\/Tortilla<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Waffles<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Non-Pas Yisroel Items<\/strong> (not subject to halachos of Pas Yisroel)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td>Cereals: All <em>Shehakol<\/em> or <em>Ha\u2019adama<\/em> cereals | <em>Mezonos<\/em> cereals that are flakes or made from rice | <em>Cheerios | Granola Cereals | Life | Puffed Wheat | Oat Cluster Cereals<\/em><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Donuts \u2013 When fried. If baked, they are considered <em>Pas.<\/em><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Granola<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Granola Bars<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Kishke<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Kreplach<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Licorice<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Matzah Balls<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Oatmeal \u2013 When cooked.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Panko Crumbs<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Pasta<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"#_ftnref1\" id=\"_ftn1\"><sup>[1]<\/sup><\/a> Although cooked grain items may very likely be subject to the prohibitions of <em>Bishul Yisroel<\/em>, which are far more stringent than <em>Pas Yisroel. <\/em>That discussion, however, is beyond the scope of this article.
