TMIO Refrigerated, Internet Controlled Oven
With the Sabbath Mode/Holiday Mode Feature

The Connect Io™ Intelligent Oven™ by TMIO -- Refrigerated, Internet-Controlled Electric Double Wall Oven, Model PS302SS00 may be used on the Jewish Sabbath or the Jewish Holidays (Yom Tov) in accordance with the instructions below:

Please be aware that there are restrictions in the use of ovens on the Sabbath and Holidays. If you are unfamiliar with the laws of keeping food warm on the Sabbath or cooking on the Holidays, please call your Rabbi. Please note that when the Holiday and Sabbath coincide, the Sabbath laws prevail. Before first use of a new oven be sure to wash the racks and interior of the oven thoroughly with warm water and soap to remove any coating oil.

  1. This unit has two separate modes; a Sabbath mode and a Holiday Mode. See your Use and Care Manual (or see www.tmio.com) for directions on how to operate these two modes. These features must be programmed before the Sabbath or Holiday. Multiple settings of heating and refrigeration may be programmed for each Holiday, and limited variations may be programmed for each Sabbath.

  2. The oven temperature may not be initiated, adjusted or turned off on the Sabbath.

  3. On the Sabbath, in lieu of a "blech", the oven controls should be covered.

  4. When unit is set to be used in heating mode at any time during the Sabbath, all food must be fully cooked and should be placed in the unit before the Sabbath begins, since none may be placed in the unit during the Sabbath. If the unit will only be set to refrigeration mode for the entire Sabbath, food may be inserted or removed as in a normal refrigerator.

  5. On the Sabbath, when in heating mode, the oven door may only be opened once, all the food removed and then closed. Once heating mode shuts off, the door may be opened/closed, and food may be removed, at will.

  6. On the Holidays, the oven door may be opened/closed at any time as often as desired in both the heating and the refrigeration mode.

  7. On the Holidays, the heating temperature may be adjusted (but not initiated or turned off) at any time (because there is a delay between the request and the implementation).

  8. After recovery from a power failure, these units will return to the same mode as before the power failure.
